Belboz was shocked. He had no desire to raise a child or be a father. "Me? Oh no my dear, I'm afraid I'm not an option. Choose someone else. Perhaps a different necromancer?" "No," Fred said firmly. "I pick you. You're nice. You said there's no wrong choices!" She really was a precious little girl, pouting at him with her nose all crinkled up as she used his own words against him. He supposed, with his incredible power and all, parenting shouldn't prove too heavy a burden... and he had made a promise, it was true. He sighed. "Very well then, Hannah. You can be my daughter." She sagged in relief, but did not bounce in excitement - some part of her still understood that he had taken everything away from her, but, since he had exhibited nothing but kindness since her acquisition of her new, rather limited brain, that fact was being superseded by now. And so Belboz took a single afternoon to conjure up a space for her to live, furniture, clothes, toys, and everything else a little girl might need. He began to make plans to find some nearby woodland creatures to transform into pets for her, because she would need some kind of interaction when he was spending long hours each day in his workshop.
