"Don't worry," said the sorcerer, and Frita was shocked. She'd never heard a humans speak the fairy tongue before. "You are very close to giving birth, and you are ill. I will help you, and make sure the child is healthy." Frita was almost stunned by her luck. This man could protect her until it was safe to return to Blueleaf with her child! Maybe he could even come with her for part of the way, or eliminate Silvyr! She just closed her eyes and rested her head. A few days later, Frita went into labor. It was a long and painful process, but in the end, her daughter was born. The baby had Frita's rainbow hair and Taurill's green eyes, and beautiful silvery skin, which had come from Taurill's mother. Frita held her daughter close, wishing her father could be there. The sorcerer said, "She's beautiful. Who's the father?" "My morning star, Taurill." In as few words as possible, Frita explained the situation with Silvyr. The sorcerer nodded. "This is a serious matter. These things can happen when magic changes one's species.
