The sisters were to remain where they were while Endurin came to the D'Honaire manor and reached out to find them and teleported them to his location. The connection through the crystal ball fizzled while he set about sending a messenger to Endurin, but not before telling his son that they should be home in a few days at most, and to try to stay together at all times and be prepared at any moment to be brought home.

Isabella quit her job to facilitate this, and they spent that night huddled together in an alley. In the meantime, Endurin arrived at the manor, bringing his supplies and the imprints he'd taken of Fred many years before to help locate him.
