Jane was not ready for resistance, though if you think about it she really should've been. But she certainly didn't have any powerful defensive spells prepared, so the women made quick work of whacking her over the head, stuffing her in a sack, and spiriting her away. They all wore the plainest dresses they could find on short notice, and matching green cloaks, and after taking three horses from the stables, they started on the journey to... well to who knew where, but away from Gully, that was for sure. Their hope was that when Jane woke up and saw what they'd done, she'd agree to restore them in exchange for letting her return home. They tied Jane up good and tight and put a sack over her head so they could keep making progress even after she woke up, which she did not too long after they left the castle. They finally removed the sack and gag after about a half-hour ride and explained their demands.
