In Which Our Heroes Decide Not To Take Astra's Advice

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 116325

"On reflection, I can't ask you to take a risk like that." Astra said. "You should just leave while you can and bring back help... Though you might have difficulty in getting the cow out. Some of the tunnels are pretty steep and might also be too narrow for her to get through."

"I am a knight of Allaria," Rick said. "I swore never to abandon a damsel in distress. So I am staying." Even though I'm scared stiff, naked and unarmed, he thought to himself but was too proud to say out loud.

"Thank you," Astra said, having decided that - even though she was a proud warrior princess - this was neither the time nor the place to point out that Rick's vow was rather a sexist one.

"I don't want to have to abandon Freda down here," Mara said. "The poor thing would be scared stiff. So I guess we're staying too."

"We are?" Gabriel queried. Mara glared at him. "We are," he said hastily. He knew it wasn't a good idea to get on the wrong side of his sister. Even though it seemed to him that, even if they didn't leave now, they would have to try to find a way out sooner or later.

"Thank you," Astra said again. She added:

  1. "I get the impression the lair isn't that complex. If you stay together and search around it might not take you too long to find the dragon's resting chamber."
  2. "This place is pretty big. I'd suggest splitting up to look for the dragon's resting chamber."
  3. "Perhaps, instead of searching for the dragon's bedchamber, you should look for something that might be able to cut through the chains. It would be safer."
  4. "Try to hide yourselves. I think I can hear the dragon coming."
