  1. erase Freda's memory then and there, and have Gabriel and Mara cover their faces from her while returning her.
  2. not only erase Freda's memory, but also effectively change her into a regular cow--unintelligent and unable to speak.
  3. return Freda himself, so he could cast the memory erasure spell directly before leaving.
  4. give Gabriel and Mara a memory-erasing potion to administer to Freda directly before leaving.
