All at once there he was, floating above her dresser. She quickly conjured up a simple tunic around him and lowered him to the floor. He began to stir, and she laid her hands on his head, helping him out of his long sleep and instilling calm in him.

Still, when all Fred's senses finally returned to him, it was a jarring experience. He remembered the months he had spent as a fairy named Frita, and the bond he'd formed with another fairy... He sat up abruptly, and blinked down at the little girl next to him.

Evanora explained what she knew - Dalamar, the jars, her own powers, everything. Fred listened, flabbergasted, spending much of the time staring at Arion, who still slept in his jar. When she was finished, he said hesitantly, "I... I am eternally in your debt for your help. But... you see... I just wonder... Arion also said that he had a faint memory of living in Aqualaria. I had thought, perhaps, he might be under a similar enchantment to my own?"

"You think he might have once been human?" asked Evanora. "Well, I sensed no such enchantment on him, nor any part of his mind that seemed human.
