Ama'lis recalled having heard of Princess Astra. As well as being a fine warrior, she was reputed to be very beautiful, at least by human standards of beauty, her red hair being especially notable. She also remembered that, when she herself had been a human, she had been given the mission to slay the dragon. It would have seemed fitting to resume that mission now in association with this princess, she reflected, even if her liege lord had not commanded her to do so.
