The Never Ending Quest - Episode 115584

Lizzie woke up the following morning to her daddy--Aaron! Aaron offering her a pink dress to wear for "day care." She looked up at him wildly, terrified by how big the world was and how hard it was to think. Where--where was Josh? She opened her mouth, unsure what she was going to ask. There were so many questions. Was... was she Lizzie, or Fred? Was she a knight, a teacher, or a little girl? Why was her life crumbling into a million different versions of itself? Who was she--what was she?

She didn't know if any of her questions had made it out into the open air, but before she knew it the man before her was kissing her cheek and hugging her close and for some reason she melted into his embrace, forgetting all her fears. At least for the moment, she felt safe.

He drove her to day care, and hugged and kissed her goodbye. She laughed, not remembering ever being happier, but then he was gone, and she was alone in a place she'd never been among children she'd never met, and suddenly she felt like crying.

A kindly woman with graying hair introduced herself to Lizzie as Miss Ellie, and directed her towards the other children her age.

  1. Lizzie quickly began to find her place among the other toddlers. She had a wonderful day and rushed into Aaron's arms when he came to pick her up.
  2. Lizzie felt she did not fit in with these toddlers, though she couldn't quite remember why. She spent the day alone, miserable.
  3. After a couple hours, Miss Ellie told her her "uncle" had come to pick her up, and a man appeared next to her--Josh.
