Lizzie felt like she was being torn in two, and in a way she had been. She opened her mouth, still not sure what was going to come out, but before she could say a word, a bolt of pure magic sailed over her head and utterly destroyed the cash register on the other side of the restaurant. She ducked down with a girlish scream, along with the rest of the patrons, and immediately glanced up to see who the perpetrator was.

  1. It was someone she recognized from her life as Fred.
  2. It was a sorcerer in long robes whom she had never seen before.
  3. It was Josh!
