This time, Fred had taken over the body shortly after Lizzie had gone to sleep that night, and Lizzie had taken back over shortly before waking up. It was all rotten timing for poor old Fred.

It was about two in the afternoon. Lizzie had been lying on the couch watching television. She had several broken bones and had lost a lot of blood, so she was due for some lazy weeks. Fred, of course, was mystified by the moving picture box, and wasted several minutes experimenting with the remote before finally making a moderately successful attempt to stand.

The house seemed completely empty. "Josh?" Fred called, voice hoarse, but no response came.
