Fred found herself in a residential area, filled with cement and trees and rows of houses that all looked alike, but she didn't know what any of it was called and she kept waking up in different places, and she was very lost and very, very afraid.

She ran, legs pumping, as fast as she could. Soon enough her now very limited energy supply became depleted,

  1. and she found herself passing out on the sidewalk mid-run.
  2. but she couldn't stop. She kept going as fast as she could, putting as much distance as possible between herself and that house.
