Fred could not pass for human if he tried. He was humanoid in form and still rather resembled a man, except for several major points of interest. His ears were still large and cow-like, and his face still bore quite the snout. He still had a tail of practically the same size as before. His skin was practically the same color as it had been as a cow (white, with huge black splotches)—in fact, his entire body was still covered with fine fur. Though his hair had been blond before, it was black now. His fingers were poorly defined enough to be unusable, and though his feet had grown enough to stand on, it was difficult to balance. Worst and strangest of all, though he was mostly male, he still bore an udder, on his stomach. He stared down at himself for a long, long moment of shock, and tried to speak. He found it possible, but slow and difficult. "What have you done to me?" Vycynth, admittedly, did not look overly pleased with his work. "The enchantment seems to have its hooks in very deep. I can't do any better. I'll bet you still retain many bovine behavioral tendencies and biological needs, as well." "If you can't do any better, find someone who can!" Fred demanded, though it came out halting and dull-sounding. "Then you wouldn't owe me, now would you? No, either I change you back, or no one does." Vycynth sighed, considered him for a bit longer, and said, "I don't have much choice, so I'll just keep you around like this...
