Astra's Next Suprise Witness

There are several dozen suprised gasps, mostly from one spectator who then uses her inhaler.

"Objection." says the prosecutor, "Horsehockey has gone 404!"

"Overuled!" says Stone. "It exists in zip file format."

"Now then." says Astra after Chris gets sworn in. "For the record, what is it exactly you have done concerning extend a story type stories."

"Well." says Chris. "I ran http://www.firewriter.com/horsehockey. A website where you could pick your choices and when you came to a blank spot, extend it."

"I see. And what was the beginning of the story about."

"Josh Burbank and his lost memory."

"Did it stay about Josh and his lost memory?"

"Oh, no, not at all. Josh regained his memory many times. Though a lot of the times he left the story entirely. In fact, before it closed down, there was a good thread going about Scott and the staircase room from addventure.com."

"Were these divergent threads the reason Horsehockey shut down?"

"Oh, no. Code problems. I would have let the story run it's course but the software could not handle it."

"So story drift was encouraged."

"No, not really. It's just where the inspiration of the authors took them. Of course, they worked within the confines of the story. I know where you're going with this. It's the responsible thread drift that is good."

"Thank you." said Astra. "That is all."

1. Astra calls another witness.
2. The prosecution cross-examines Chris.
3. Ragan runs by, screaming and waving her arms. An axe weilding Scott follows three seconds later, dressed in nothing but bloomers and a Maidenform bra and cackling madly.
4. Suddenly the entire courtroom is transported to a Shi'ar Warship!
