The Never Ending Quest - Episode 113961

Forgetting about Vycynth for a moment, Freda decided that she liked the cut of these newcomers' jibs, and followed them compliantly out of the fortress.

As they walked, the brother and sister described their quest. They were currently trying to gather up some artifacts that a wizard called Belboz had demanded as payment to create a weapon powerful enough to slay the dragon. Freda had trouble following the story, but these two seemed like good folk. That was all she needed to know, really. It occurred to her that they were trying to do basically the same thing that she had been tasked with doing when she was a knight, but it didn't occur to her to mention this.

The siblings' next stop was a crypt where a powerful magical pot had been buried with a sorceress who had lived hundreds of years ago, but it was the journey of many weeks away.

  1. Of course, Mara and Gabriel had no intention of bringing a cow with them for this entire journey, so they would sell her in the first town they passed through.
  2. Mara and Gabriel wished to schedule a checkup with a wizard specializing in magical animals, so they would go on a detour and arrive at his home in about a week.
  3. Mara and Gabriel found they liked Freda's company and decided to enchant her to be able to cover a lot of ground in the space of a day so she could come questing with them.
