And it came to pass that Sir Lots of the Numerical Value 42, having abandoned his quest prematurely, returned home to find his house turned nearly invisible by some crazy painter. Drawing closer, he noticed piles of dead or unconscious birds that had obviously hit the wall after mistaking it for open sky.
The front door was locked, and there was no key under the doormat - someone had either painted the mat to blend in with the porch or removed it entirely - so he circled around to the kitchen entrance... and found a dead dragon in his backyard. Actually, he found on closer inspection, the dragon was not quite dead, but it had obviously hit the wall pretty hard. Even with the confusing sky paint he could clearly see the dent in the wall. It seemed to be about the location of his bedroom. Now what? Was this the dragon he had been sent to kill? After all he had never seen it or had it described to him (everyone including himself assumed there was only one dragon in the area, and when you see it you know it). For all he knew, this could be The Dragon (tm) and he had been presented with a golden opportunity to complete his quest. Then again, it might be an entirely different dragon, maybe even one it would be entirely wrong to even wound slightly.
