Frederigo tried to repress a snicker. He shouldn't laugh. After all, Sir
Korval had just saved his life,
even if his attitude to the fairer sex seemed to leave a lot to be
desired. He helped
Sir Korval to his feet, and after a minute or two the knight was well
enough to speak.
"Very well," he said to Astra, having first made sure that he was well out
of range of her long and
shapely legs. "You have made your choice. You cannot remain in the clutches
of the dragon as you asked, for Lord Frederigo and I have between us
managed to kill
him. Clearly the next best thing is that we should leave you in your
chains,
for that most nearly approximates to your wish."
