This is Sir Ricardo O'Farrell, who was a close friend of Sir Fred's and who knew him better than did anyone else at court. I thought that he would therefore be the best person to decide whether this charming young lady that I see before me is truly who she claims to be."
"Of course I don't mind. I'm pleased to meet you, Sir Ricardo." "Pleased to meet you too, Mertix," Sir Ricardo said politely, bowing slightly. "Arahim has told me all about you. And pleased to make your acquaintance too, young lady, whether or not you are really my old friend Fred." All this time Fred had been standing silently, smiling at the newcomers. It was good to see her old friend Rick again. She had never realised before, though, quite how handsome he was. I think I've fallen in love with him! she realised.
