Butterflies were cherished among the faerie folk, being so similar to them and yet so simple. The butterfly that Elise had become was particularly beautiful, and it fluttered around for a moment, dazed by its transformation, but soon its confusion was overcome by the fairie's music, and it happily joined their masses, the ones nearest it cooing over its wings. With that, the flock of faeries plus one butterfly took again to the skies. They had a very long journey ahead of them, another year or so [the lifespan of a butterfly], but once it was over, they would be home. The group was in fact in large part Queen Amaralis's entourage, but the Queen was kind and did not turn away any other faeries who wished to join her. As such, the group was exceptionally large and diverse.
