Waverly gaped. Indeed, she had been planning on telling Havelock about this immediately and trying to set something up where he would free her from the net so that she would not have to grant the fisherman wishes. It seemed the man was much smarter than she had assumed. Once she was free, she darted away without another word. Throughout the next day, she felt her own magic tugging her to go and become ensnared in Henry's net. But the wording of the wish had merely been "every day." I don't want my family and friends not recognizing me." Waverly granted his final wish, was released, and was off. Over the following weeks, Henry made many wishes—often using his third one to wish for Waverly to immediately get stuck in his net again. Waverly's constant use of her magic began to weaken her, and her family and friends became worried, but she could not tell them what was wrong. And, per another wish Henry had made, she could not even allow them to follow her to her daily wish-granting session. Meanwhile, of course, Henry's life gradually improved spectacularly. Though many of his wishes he very much wasted, due to the overwhelming abundance of them. But after a point, Waverly couldn't even resent him for it, for he had wished for her to be fond of him. One day...
