Reluctantly, Hannah returned home. But she intended to go back that night. Once it was dark, she would be able to venture much closer to the camp with less risk that one of the men might spot her. Also she would feel much more comfortable leaving the shelter of the cave without the baking sun to worry about. Maybe she might even borrow one of the men's horses and try riding it. It couldn't be that hard, could it?
She knew that, if she told Belboz what she had seen, he would forbid her to leave their quarters, so she kept quiet. They had their evening meal, and then she waited for him to go to bed, telling him that she herself would stay up a little longer and read.
