After sharing an excellent bottle of champagne prior to ordering their food, the three of them had further wine with their meal. Stacy and Haruto had a glass each, but Astra was drinking at an amazing rate, and by the time that they reached their dessert had emptied two bottles on her own and was halfway through a third. By now she was talking more loudly and was slurring her words. "It sheemsh very hot in here," she said, taking off her red leather jacket and hanging it over the back of her chair.
A few minutes later Astra was lifting a spoonful of her dessert to her mouth when it fell off her spoon and landed on her white crop-top, liberally smearing it with chocolate sauce. Aqualarians do not have the same taboo about nudity that most cultures do, so perhaps it wasn't that surprising that Astra ahould say: "Oopsh, I'd better take my top off too."
