Stacy wanted to find out the address of her office, since the odds were that that would be a lot closer than her home. Then she could use her office computer to investigate this REAL-world outfit. She surely must have business cards in her shoulder bag [5491] that would have her office address on them.
Everything had happened so fast, though, that she hadn't yet had a chance to investigate her bag's contents. She didn't want to do so in front of Jacob and the other two men. How could she explain needing to consult her own business card? Did she really need a bodyguard anyway, still less three of them? Surely most company bosses didn't have them? OK, there had been the mugger, but that couldn't have been foreseen and didn't seem to be related to her owning an ISP. And the men clearly couldn't be guarding her full time, even when she was at home, or they'd have known about her child. She was the boss, so surely she could tell them to make themselves scarce? Coming to a decision, she said: "You three can take the rest of the day off." Jacob pursed his lips. "Do you think that's wise? Mr. Ramirez won't like it." Stacy guessed that Ramirez was probably her deputy. "Who's in charge?" she asked. "Me or Mr. Ramirez?" "You are, but..." "Then do as I say, and go." "All right, but at least wait until we are out of this walkway and on a main street." "OK." They walked on, leaving the mugger behind.
