Hannah knew that she really ought to go and find Uncle Belboz as quickly as possible, as he needed to know about this. But thirteen-year-old girls - even those as good and dutiful as Hannah nornally was - don't always do what they know they should. Her curiosity had been piqued. After all, she had never seen any people other than Belboz before, though she knew that these two men must be knights thanks to the illustrations in one of the books in Belboz's extensive library, which showed men wearing armour very similar to this. Besides, who else but knights would dare to try to slay the dragon?
So, being careful to remain hidden and not to make any noise, she followed Wilfram and the other knight as they headed back towards the entrance outside which the rest of their party had made camp.
