The Mark of the Dark Blade

"Why the hell did you do that?" shouted Stacy.

Jacob pulled back the shirt again, showing her a tattoo of a black dagger with some symbols that looked Japanese.

"You see that?" he said. "That's the symbol of the Dark Blade. They're a merciless, international cult. A cult that brutally tortured and killed by daughter. I have sworn to immediately kill any of their members on sight."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I'm sure. I'll never forget that symbol. They all have it, along with some others hidden somewhere less obvious which signifies rank and function. But there's no time for that now. We need to move. Come on!"

Jacob whisked Stacy off and took her to the safety of a hotel room. He posted the two bodyguards on her door and did a security check of her room she she sat on the bed in shock, her head buried in her hands.

She had no memory of her life before today and she wondered if it was always so exciting and scary. As she took her hands away from her face she noticed the dark stain of blood on her hands and she realized that she had got lightly splattered with blood.

Finished with his search, Jacob went to to the door. "I'll be in the adjoining room, okay? Any problems, come and get me."

She nodded and he left. Stacy went to the bathroom and ran a hot bath. She looked int he mirror at a strangers face, specked with blood.She started undressing and as she took off her shirt she saw it. There on her chest, just under her right collarbone. A tattoo of black dagger. A black dagger with Japanese script next to it.

1. Stacy carried on and had her bath
2. Stacy was disturbed by a banging on the bathroom door
3. Stacy remembered where she got the tattoo
4. Stacy looked for more tattoos
