As Stacy walked into Starbucks, one of the women behind the counter hailed
her:
"Hey, Stacy, what happened to you? Your shift started an hour ago." "I'm
sorry," Stacy
said. "I got delayed." "Well, no work, no pay, you know. And
you keep going on about how you want to earn enough money so you can put
yourself
through college." "Er, yes," Stacy said, going behind the counter and
taking down one
of the overalls that hung there. "Hey, what's the matter with you today?
That's not your
overall. Yours is on the next peg." Stacy apologised again, put on the
correct
overall and got to work.
Stacy realised that her next problem was likely to be when her shift finished. She would want to go home, but she had no idea where she lived.
