Suddenly, the spoon Bea was stirring with slipped out of her fingers. She stared into the stew, unable to understand what she was thinking. It was out of nowhere, it made no sense, but - but... why was she married to Henry?

Ten years they'd been married, and she'd had four of his children, with a fifth on the way right now. Before that... before that she had been a mermaid, hadn't she? He'd... He'd wished her into a human. After wishing her to fall in love with him.

What an absolutely disgusting thing to do.

He was out at the moment, fishing of course, their children accompanying him. She was to make dinner while they were gone, and when they returned they'd all eat together.

She couldn't, she just couldn't.
