The Never Ending Quest - Episode 112434

Suddenly, the creature floating in the water before Henry was not a beautiful mermaid, but a man. A well-muscled man who let out a scream of pain as his tail was torn in two and his physiology changed quite completely. Henry reeled back, falling into the grass, staring at the man in shock.

Fred stared down at himself. "This... I had forgotten about this," he said, dazed.

"What's happening?" Henry asked, appalled, still staring.

So Fred offered a brief explanation. The transformation was so fresh, he still fancied himself a mermaid, and did not wish to leave the sea, so there he floated as he spoke. When he was finished, Henry exclaimed in horror, "But this ruins everything! I was to come home with a beautiful woman on my arm! I've wasted two of my wishes!"

  1. Fred said, "I had forgotten, but... I know I cannot stay with you. Now that I have returned to my rightful form, I must resume my quest."
  2. Fred said, "I had no wish to stop being Waverly. Come, let us fish over my old home and catch one of my fellow merfolk to make this right."
  3. Henry continued, "Stay away from me, I wash my hands clean of this whole matter." He immediately turned and broke into a run.
