The Never Ending Quest - Episode 112375

The plan, time-wise, for the Direwolf Ghost to meet Lisa Nestor, a ten year old, socially isolated girl in an otherwise pleasant suburb of California.
The ghost, rattled by time travel, will assume it's wolf form. Lisa befriends the wolf who comes to love her in kind. They both become much better entities for each other's friendship. As such, Lisa establishes a moral background that gives her the courage to become what she has always wanted to be since she was four. A programmer for spaceships.
Lisa's programs become the basis for ships that go to Mars and beyond.
The Direwolf spends twelve years in pure wolf form and becomes vulnerable to basic wolf biology. 'Dire' passes away from cancer at Lisa's feet during a late night coding session over spaceship alert lights.
Sniff.
Anyway, this is how history should go.
Does it?

  1. Yes.
  2. Sort of. Lisa needs a few visits from Donna and River over the years but it goes well.
  3. The Master screws everything up.
  4. A far more subtle plan arises: An enemy tried to get animal authorities to take Dire away when Lisa is 14.
