Presently the young woman in Fred's lap began to stir. Fred quickly began to speak. "Hey, what's going on? Release me!"

The woman staggered backwards, and after seeing Fred, for some reason she began to look down at herself. She darted to another room, disappearing from Fred's sight, and began to laugh. Fred waited in apprehension until her return.

The woman presently came back, surveyed Fred for a long moment, and said,

  1. "I think this is good enough. I will release you, and you can stay around and be my wealthy, doting grandmother. How are you at acting?"
  2. "I think this is good enough. I will release you, and you can stay around and be my wealthy, doting grandmother. I have just the spell to make you exactly that."
  3. "I think this is good enough. I will release you."
  4. "No reason not to finish the job."
