The small castle which was home of the royal family of Osueth, neighbor to Allaria, had been in need of decoration for some time. Now, the court mage, Mertix, immediately noticed something off about the statue. Yes, it had been magically tampered with, rather recently. He informed the king, saying he was concerned the statue may indeed not have begun as a statue at all, and the king responded,

  1. "Oh, indeed? How appalling! Please look into this at once."
  2. "Why must you tell me these things, Mertix? It is a fine statue, and I suggest you forget this notion, and not mention it again to anyone."
