The Never Ending Quest - Episode 111787

You have never heard of "Belboz' Book of Magic", which surprises you. You thought that you had heard of all of Alan Moore's books, even those you haven't read yet. Perhaps it has only just been published? You know that Moore has a strong interest in magic and the occult, but what is this "Belboz"? Is that a person or a thing?

Looking at the blurb, you discover that Belboz refers to a person, supposedly a medieval necromancer.

  1. According to Alan Moore's introduction, he has merely been the book's editor rather than its author. He claims that it is based on a genuine spellbook by this Belboz, which has only recently been discovered.
  2. The book appears to have been misfiled, as there is no mention of Alan Moore on the cover or the title page.
  3. The title is rather misleading, as when you leaf through the book it seems to be more of a fantasy adventure story than a book of spells, though a few of those do feature.
