And the children inside Hannah... inside me... may not have personalities yet, per se, but they exist, and they are alive, and I would not take that from either of them. Doing so is not an option the same way erasing me is not an option."

"You're asking me to attempt to induce the birth before Belboz escapes?" Jeppeline prompts.

Fred sighs. "Yes. I am. But I beg of you—there must be a way to free me and leave Hannah with Henry. I'd sooner be placed in a bottle like a genie for another fifteen years while a permanent solution is found than return to the condition I have already suffered for that long."

Jeppeline looks thoughtful for a moment. "Something like that may be a possibility... but for now, very well. I'll get to work on the enchantments necessary to deliver your babies safely."
