The forest clearing seems to pause, as if holding it's breath. Nothing is moving. Not even the wind. The moment passes and a dank wind passes through, bringing a shiver to the young lass. Seeing nobody around her, the young girl does the understandable in her situation: she finds herself starting to cry! . . . . Why not? She IS a young little girl without any idea on how she got here and what she should do next. She feels abandoned and she's smart enough to know it. She knows she's in trouble and facing it alone. There is . . .a sense of impending danger in the air. Even doom, one could go so far as to say so of COURSE a little girl would cry after looking around for a grownup to turn to and finding NOTHING!! That is, at least until she starts hearing in the distance some kind of battle in the background (metal on metal and hoars battle cries). THEN that is when an odd sets of popping happens around here: air being displaced by living bodies suddenly being dropped in magically into the clearing.
