A Possible New Career

Krissy was startled. How could the pair be so ignorant of American culture. Were they foreigners? But she answered politely. "Indeed it is, by women as well as men. Indeed an organisation called the Women's National Basketball Association runs a professional league."

"Professional?" Astra said. "You mean that you can actually get paid for playing basketball?"

"If you're good enough, yes. In fact very well paid."
