"I see," Astra said, after taking a moment to absorb this. "That would explain how the Captain and his men came to be here. When Henry mentioned one of the Captain's children going back to the surface, it could have been the surface on this 'backside' of the world, if I can call it that. And I suppose that, when I mentioned the dragon to Henry, he could have had a different dragon in mind to the one that I assumed we were talking about."
She paused for breath, before continuing. "But what it doesn't explain, Baroness, is how you come to be here. I am guessing that it is linked in some way to the question of mine that you did not answer earlier, about how you knew that I was in the hayloft. [110402] If you were trailing me, then that would explain your being here, but there must be more to it than that, or you would have no more idea of where we are than I had. Also I find it hard to believe that you could have followed me all this way without once losing the trail and without my ever becoming aware of you."
