Some villages have had to be evacuated, and there have been a number of deaths. It can't be allowed to continue. Of course, should I succeed then you wouldn't need to worry about keeping on the dragon's good side any more."

"I suppose not, though I fear that you are very unlikely to kill him. I know that others have tried and failed. From what you have said, you must be from Aqualaria yourself rather than a hired mercenary. Outsiders never call it the Matriarchy. I already thought from your appearance and accent that you probably came from there. I suppose you must have been named after the princess?"

"That's right. You seem well informed about Aqualaria. Are you from there too?"

2. "No." Astra knew that to be a lie, and wondered what the reason for it was.
