Reaibn's reaction to the evil of the marble was different, in that he did not turn evil, but changed things capriciously [23574], running the kingdom in a way that a child or a simple and unsophisticated man would do. He gave Fred and Astra unusual clothing and coached Fred for his coronation [24512] as the new king. Gradually the story turned darker. First, Reaibn told Fred that that the previous king passed on "because he had trouble adjusting to the changes." [24499] Fred later finds the plan for the coronation ceremony, and it confirmed that the Kingdom was being run by a madman.[24717] It was not clear whether Reaibn was already disposed to madness, became mad under the influence of the marble, or intentionally became mad to thwart the evil designs of the marble. The actor who played, Reaibn, a character who was a strange mixture of innocence, authority, and insanity, was
