No Luck at the Theater

The woman bolted from the car tried to open the front door, and a couple of the service entrances, but they held fast.

The man got out of the car and caught up with her. "What are you doing?"

"I wanted to go inside, and get some candy. I remember getting peppermint-coated popcorn here a few years ago. I thought maybe they might have left it open."

"I don't think so. And I don't think that we want to start breaking the law just to get some candy. Didn't you say that you already had a chocolate bar?"

"Yes, but I need more than just that, and I don't want to be completely without food."

"When was the last time you ate?"

"At dinnertime, two days ago. I had an orange and a tuna fish sandwich."

"I am sorry. Let's go and buy something to tide you over."

The woman replied,

1. "Let's drive around the back of the theater and take a look in the dumpster. I know this sounds crazy, but there is a chance that there is something that I am looking for there."
2. "I would like that. Let's go to a grocery store and then eat the food at a place where there are unlikely to be many people."
3. "Maybe we could go to the food court at the mall. I know that there are people there, but hopefully nobody will see us."
