As Fred lay there, struggling against her bonds, she tried with all her might to put her mind to work for some goal other than feeling sorry for herself. The indignities she'd suffered of late went beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of having to deal with. Even now, if she still had her rightful body, this would be a cinch to get out of. But as it was, her muscles were weak, her voice had been taken from her, and there was no one coming to help her.

She did not understand the words the wizard was chanting, but they were clearly words of power, as she could feel the magic swirling in the air.
