The Never Ending Quest - Episode 109993

Unfortunately Orbeus did not have much room in his modest little cottage, not even for one extra person-sized object. Plus the inside was still coated with residue from the spells of various visitors of his, and while he was fine with living there, he wasn't sure he wanted to risk exposing Miranda to yet more magic. He figured his garden would be a safe enough place; he'd make sure to set up a small spell that would protect the statue from the elements and check regularly for damages.

Thus it was, and he and Jarlath continued to hunt for a way to fix his brother. The D'Honaire family continued to mourn the disappearance of their brave son, and the DeSilk family mourned the disappearance of their beautiful daughter--until, of course, Jarlath lifted the spell of deception on the household that had allowed him to integrate Miranda into the family.

  1. About three weeks after Fred's transformation, Orbeus's sorceress friend arrived to see if she could restore Fred.
  2. After four months of no success, Orbeus came outside one morning to find the statue of Miranda gone.
  3. After six months or so, Orbeus was reading by candlelight one evening when Miranda stepped inside, asking in confusion, "Sir? Where am I? Where's Jarlath?"
  4. After six months or so, Orbeus was reading by candlelight one evening when he heard a commotion in his garden. When he investigated, he found that not only had Miranda become flesh again, but she remembered being Lord Fred!
  5. The spell proved to be shockingly difficult to break. After nearly a year of trying, Orbeus was forced to contact the High Council of Sorcerers of Malboncton, who said he would have to send the statue to them for examination.
