The Seeker instantly recognizes Scott's mood. He wouldn't be saying things like "I'm going to stick by your side. We will get through this" unless he didn't mean it. Yes indeedy, Scott is serious about a thing.

However, Seeker still vowed to put Scott into the nearest volcano if he started getting touchy feely again!

As the automated machinery descended onto the ruined TARDIS and began to rebuild it from the ground out, they both watched in total fascination. The mood was ruined by that serious look on Scott's face, though...

  3. We were mistaken. Scott is not serious about a thing, but rather a person. Or a place.
