A Desperate Situation

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 108937

Not a moment later, Vincent sprang into action. He knew he was the only magic-maker left standing, and there was simply no time to spare on his outrage at Pronklezilch. Quite immediately, the four identical bawdy girls crowded around him, the only remaining male (aside from Bobo, technically) in the room, cooing suggestively. Inside a few seconds he made the decision to place them all under a sleeping spell. Even the way they fell asleep was the same: a little gasp, a soft sigh, and an effortlessly graceful slide to the floor.

The old mage transitioned so smoothly into total focus that he forgot to move the operation to his inner chamber, but seeing as Helia, Princess Astra, and Bobo were maintaining a respectful distance and silence, this would do just as well.

  1. He was able to quickly tell which of them were deeper into their enchantments, and identified them as Astra and Freda. Unfortunately, as had been feared before [49360], he quickly realized they were a lost cause, and sadly got to work on the other two.
  2. He was able to quickly tell which of them were deeper into their enchantments, and identified them as Astra and Freda. Since they had much less time before their true selves were lost, he started working on them first.
  3. Identifying and restoring Xyllis and Norla to their true forms was quick work. But they still didn't seem like themselves.
  4. He was not able to draw any conclusions about the longevity or intensity of any individual's enchantment, so he selected one at random and started his work.
  5. The clock was ticking and he had little to work with, so he was forced to place all four of them into magical stasis. It would be harder to run tests on them and there could be complications reviving them, but no further mental deterioration would occur.
  6. Since Vincent had equipped his tower many years before to take readings and imprints of all who entered there, it should be simple to restore all their minds and Xyllis' and Norla's bodies. But he would have to identify them first, or risk mixing them up.
  7. Shockingly enough, he soon discovered that all their minds were as perfectly identical as their appearances. Given the limited amount of time Pronklezilch had had... he must have removed their original minds completely, and filled their heads with copies!
