Belboz lifted his hand, and the girl swayed in place, holding her head. The wizard said, "There is a beautiful pink dress in the room behind you. Why don't you go get it?" Fred nodded, retrieved the dress, and brought it immediately back to Belboz. He smiled, and waved his hand. The dress disappeared and rematerialized around the girl. "There now! Isn't that lovely?" Fred nodded compliantly. "So tell me again, what's your name?" "Fred," she said. "No. Your name is Hannah." "All right." Things had become so much easier! "And what do you want to be when you grow up?" "A knight." "No. A lady-in-waiting. You want to serve your queen." "Oh." She nodded. "Okay." "So again. What is your name?" "Hannah." "And what do you want to be?" "A lady-in-waiting." So not only would she willingly and immediately do most things asked of her, it was so easy to integrate new information into her accepted beliefs and thinking that it could be done accidentally.
