She looked up momentarily, to find Belboz gone. And with this fact, the Hannah persona reasserted itself, shoving Fred again into the recesses of the woman's brain. Two months later, her twins were born. A year and a half passed, and with fourteen children, of course life was perfectly exhausting, but it was the longest Fred had gone without suffering through a pregnancy since he had been a man, and this, at least, was some measure of relief. It was around this time that Hannah and Henry began to grow worried about the lack of pregnancy.
