Running out of Thyme

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 108506

There was no visible sign of what had happened to her. Her chances of even being found were slim to none. She found herself underneath the thyme that she had been picking mere moments ago, towering above her like a forest with canopies that created near-total darkness. She stared around at the impossibly huge world, down at the uneven terrain of the dirt that had seemed so flat before, and began to cry.

Once she was able to calm down a bit, she told herself firmly that she would stay right here. When Gloriana realized she had not yet returned, she'd come here. That would be her best chance.

Actually... She remembered the basket that she'd been filling with herbs. When Gloriana came, she would pick that up and take it with her. Getting there was her best chance.

Hannah realized, however, that she had no idea how far away she was from it, or even which direction to go. Down here it was truly dark.

  1. By climbing to the thyme's canopies to survey the area, and making great haste, Hannah managed to make it to the fallen basket before Gloriana arrived.
  2. The girl was not able to reach the basket in time before Gloriana came to search for Hannah and very nearly stepped on her. She left with the basket after an hour, and night was falling fast.
