Having had previous experience of malign forces, Astra was half-expecting the mattress cover to vanish when she attempted to grab it. What she wasn't expecting was that the floor would vanish as well. She, Josh, the bed and a chamber pot (fortunately empty) plummeted downwards.

  1. Since Josh was involved, it wasn't that surprising that they finished up back in the Staircase Room.
  2. Even though Josh was involved, they didn't finish up back in the Staircase Room.
  3. Josh and Astra finished up in different places. (Please don't ask how that is even possible.)
