Sir Seeker and Scott Chen are hiding on the rooftop of the local high school. Clouds line the sky in all directions. To the west the dealership is burning. To the south, where their cardboard box is holed up, the library had partially collapsed when construction equipment hit it. North and east were mostly forest. Random screams and growls echoed from it. Several survivors are with them. Three bikers, four cheerleaders, eight police officers, six senior citizens and a family of vacationers from South Carolina who had just wanted to visit an amusement park twenty miles away. -Their- Grandma had turned and eaten the dog whole. All the stress had caused Vacation Mom to crack and she was blaming her husband, saying it was his fault for the zombie apocalypse and he had promised a stress free vacation and she had really loved the dog and oh god she was crying again ... One of the cops, a small, womanly man, decides to do something about the woman.
