Jastina scowled, but conceded, "Very well. Reduce them to their former level. They'll probably have plenty of sagging skin to continue to make them unattractive, even after they lose the weight, no?"

"Most likely," Belboz assured the queen, and went about his work.

Over the following days...

the young women found that they no longer had a constant urge to stuff themselves full, and their eating habits changed for the better. Their weight still hadn't changed noticeably by the end of the week, of course.
Belboz and the queen observed that the women's appetites hadn't seemed to change. Belboz suspected that they had been somehow psychologically scarred by the spell, and this level of hunger was now their natural default.
the women seemed to be getting smaller already, but not in the way that Belboz or Jastina would have expected or intended. Something had gone wrong. They weren't losing any fat, per se; rather, they were very slowly shrinking!
