Hannah threw her arms around him. "Don't worry, I will," she asserts emphatically. "Thank you for giving me a chance."

The morning after their wedding, Hannah has a bath, wraps herself in a towel, and takes a good look at herself in the mirror [for the first time—not that she realizes it's odd she's not quite sure what she looks like]. Even she is appalled at how ugly she is. Her dirty blonde hair is thin and stringy, her body is disproportionate, her skin is mottled with faint red blotches and various moles, her hands are bony, she has the most terrible overbite, her face has not one or two but three large warts... Not to mention her facial structure itself.

Hannah stares at her reflection in despair. She will have to do something about this. Belboz deserves better.

  1. She gets to work cleaning the tunnels till they're spotless.
  2. She descends to Belboz's potion room, hoping to find something for beauty enhancement.
  3. She begins studying. She'll learn as many skills as she can. If she can't be a looker, she'll at least try to be an interesting person.
